Rebecca felt the cool breeze wash over her head, which she was hanging from the open bedroom window. It was probably the most beautiful day of the Pittsburgh spring, which spoke strongly of the typical spring weather, as the air was a stagnant forty-two degrees. As she took a breath of the almost saccharine air, she had few worries. It was peaceful, with almost no cars or people polluting the symphony of crickets, or the occasional soft rustle of branches. This is the life she thought to herself. Rebecca closed her eyes, ready to slip into a dream.

"BECKREY BECKREY BRECKREY"

A shrill voice pierced the air, assailing Rebecca's sense of hearing. She sighed, letting out all of the air she had held, and with it, her thoughts of sleep. She pulled away from the window, sliding it shut. The window squealed in protest to its closing, finishing with a THUNK as the rubber lining to the window met the metal surrounding the window. Rebecca turned towards the voice, which was wearing orange Thomas the Train pajamas.
