Special Containment Procedures: Complete containment of any instance of SCP-9786 is currently impossible with current SCP Foundation technology. All known instances of SCP-9786 are to be categorized and tracked using public surveillance through mainstream and private media sources. Media documents containing information about SCP-9786 are to be removed from public databases after being saved onto a secure Foundation Intranet Server.

Should the need arise to contain a singular instance of SCP-9786 for a temporary amount of time, mobile containment chambers comprised of one (1) Grounded Faraday Shield comprised of an iron bars similar in shape to that of a birdcage, with the gaps between the bars comprised of reinforced glass with an internal wire-mesh conductor.

Description: SCP-9786 is used to refer to a collective of approximately x<20 anomalous objects comprised of condensed electromagnetic photons. Instances of SCP-9786 typically appear as a solid flush-white humanoid in Midwestern Cowboy Regalia, although this is unconfirmed due to the inability to perceive SCP-9786 without damage to the eyes in the form of ultraviolet keratitis when viewed for an extended period of time, even when perceived through printed media, digital images, or videos without the use of protective eye-wear. Exposure to SCP-9786 without protective wear at a minimum distance of 20ft can cause blistering, fevers, and chills, similar to the effects of a sunburn due to the ultraviolet light SCP-9786 produces. Physical contact with instances of SCP-9786 are known to cause third-degree burns on the surface of skin which came into contact with SCP-9786. Most forms of matter coming into contact with SCP-9786 will pass through, including bullets (up to 50cal), bladed weaponry, and blunt weaponry. SCP-9786 appears to be bound together by an unknown type of electromagnetic energy, which can be temporarily disrupted with the use of Electrified Faraday Shields.

SCP-9786 appears to have the ability to travel through all forms of solid matter, no mater the volume or density. Volume and density, however, appear to have a small effect on the speed at which instances of SCP-9786 passes through a solid object. When passing through an aforementioned solid object, SCP-9786 will become 'imprinted' with the design of the surface it has emerged from, before reverting back to it's original state after several moments. During this time, SCP-9786 is able to be physical handled, but does display physical strength capable of subduing the average human male with ease. During this time, SCP-9786 is vulnerable to physical assault and weaponry, but appears to be incapable of being completely destroyed.

SCP-9786 are a pack-based species, hunting in pacts of 5-6 at a time. It has a purely carnivorous diet consisting primary of human flesh, but has been spotted consuming the flesh of animals, both dead and alive, when needed. SCP-9786 hunts primary by either surrounding it's prey on all sides, or chasing it down slowly as to tire out the prey it is chasing. SCP-9786, however, does not appear to be capable at moving at speeds higher than that of the average walking speed (3.1mph). The intelligence of SCP-9786 is debatable, as different instances of SCP-9786 have displayed different levels of intelligence. Few instances display the ability to speak, although the sounds produced by SCP-9786 have been described as 'static-y' in nature, and difficult to properly parse.

SCP-9786 has displayed no ulterior motive except for survival of it's species, although it does not appear to be capable of reproduction in the traditional sense. Increased sightings of SCP-9786, however, have swelled since it's original documentation in the early 1800's.

Addendum:
With the nature of SCP-9786 lying in the hunting of humans, the Foundation has dedicated a somewhat significant pool of resources towards researching SCP-9786, including attempting to terminate the anomaly in any way, shape or form. The following project has been dubbed "Project: Blackout Curtain", and is to be spearheaded by Foundation Doctors Alto Clef and Kain Pathos Crow.
