Physical Profile - 5’11. 29. Black hair. Brown eyes. Glasses. Caucasian. His typical work outfit usually pertains to a suit, dress shirt, and tie, colors varying, yet mostly staying on the darker side. Somewhat average build, slightly underweight. He’s the type of person that can run better than they can fight. Notable traits relating to his body include a small scar by his left cheek, caused by glass shards, from the breach mentioned below. See file attached for further information documenting his appearance.
Psychological Profile - One word that could be used to describe Derek Jameson's mind is "complicated." It's a pool of indecisiveness, questions about things around him, observations, and assumptions on multiple people. He tries not to make this too evident when he interacts with others, attempting to stay calm, cool, and collected. He doesn't seem to be the most social type. Though, if pestered, or if not feeling himself, for lack of a better term, he seems to be more than happy to engage in conversation. He thought about the Foundation itself is even more complicated than his mind. Sometimes, he thinks of it as one of the many barriers protecting us from them. Sometimes, he thinks of it as a bureaucratic hellhole that wastes away the lives of the brightest minds he'd ever known. Obviously, these are two big outliers, and his usual outlook operates in-between, giving it a sort of unbiased approach, more or less. After Incident-01, a psychological screening of Jameson was performed by Dr. D.H. Aeslinger, Psy.D. It was determined that Jameson is experiencing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and has an extremely negative emotional reaction to breaches, often expressing a pessimistic viewpoint.
Pre-Foundation History: Derek Jameson was born on July 13th, 1990, and as of File Update71319, he is 29 years old. Jameson was born and raised in New York City, New York, living in Queens with his mother Maggie, and father Marcus. On October 5th, 1996, his mother was killed in a car accident at around 11:47 PM, after, according to the police report, she attempted to dodge an incoming deer, but crashed into a tree. Jameson's personality was most likely affected by this ordeal, mirroring his father's personality after spending most of his life with him. This caused him to be the more business-focused person he is today. Derek did generally alright in school, yet excelled in Math and Science. After graduating high school, Derek went on to apply for multiple colleges, for a degree in biology. Being an over-achieving child, he attempted to go for more Ivy League schools, only to be denied by most. Derek opted for NYU and went on to get his bachelor's degree. Jameson, as well as several other graduates, were approached by the Foundation a varying number of weeks later, boasting a very satisfactory job description. More than decent pay, amazing insurance, and the ability to seek higher education, all for their discretion. Derek, at 22 years old, barely taking a second thought, accepted near immediately, knowing full well how to keep a secret. And, boy, he did not know what he was in for.
Pre-Ethics Committee History: Derek began as a Junior Researcher at Site-064, assisting in studies of Anderson Robotics. He was tasked with figuring out how Saker and Peregrine units feel pain, emotion, etc. Obviously, the short answer was magic, but it was always good to check. On January 29th, 2013, Incident-01 occurred. The Foundation brought in a Peregrine unit installed with the Advanced Hand-to-Hand Combat expansion and the Advanced Firearms Training expansion. During a lapse in containment, the unit breached containment, killing a guard and taking its sidearm. The Research team, Derek included, attempted to evacuate the room, but the unit managed to break the observation glass and began firing onto the Research team, earning multiple casualties. Derek managed to survive long enough for additional security to arrive and terminate the unit, yet a vast majority of the Research team was killed, leaving few survivors, most in critical condition. Derek got lucky, with only a few minor glass-related injuries, and a broken leg. Derek was both physically and emotionally treated, and once cleared for duty, was given a promotion to Level-2 Researcher. Derek moved from site-to-site, working on various projects. His file boasted little ethical complaints, as he did things "by the book." Due to his ethical nature, Derek was chosen for immediate reassignment to the Ethics Committee. Soon enough, Derek was approached by security personnel, lead to a conference room, and given the Ethics Committee Orientation. He was told that he didn't have a choice, and to expect a noticeable change in his duties.
Post-Ethics Committee History: Derek was given Ethics Committee training, and transferred to numerous sites in order to observe and reprimand certain research teams. After the lifted-veil scenario, Derek was arrested and sent to the United Nations Headquarters in New York for trial. Derek, along with many other members of the Committee, were suspended from employment for a short while as their trials were decided. Realizing how complicated Foundation Ethics was, the UN restored several Committee Members back into employment, Jameson included. Around a year later, Jameson was transferred to Site-42.
Yo! The formatting of this article is heavily inspired by Doctor North's Personnel File. I was blown away when I first saw this, and I wanted to kinda base my file on it, in order to pay my respects to him, and everything he did. The photo of Derek Jameson, until I'm able to create something I believe shows him, is Daredevil's Matthew Murdock, played by Charlie Cox. Photo by Barry Wetcher. © 2014 Netflix, Inc. All Rights Reserved. Edited by me, in order to give it more of a Foundation-esque look. There are a lot of other easter-eggs to other Foundation based works in this file, so lemme give a quick rundown;
