Mental Assessment » Blackwood is not the ideal type of personnel that the Foundation envisions. Rather, they're a very reluctant and unwilling worker; despite their reluctance, they still uphold the ethics of the Foundation. Biography » Finch is a simple man that wanted to live a simple life, born out of a middle-class family. He was born on 1985, May 4th. The Blackwood family was made up of his parents and five other siblings2. They were all raised to be upstanding citizens, and relied on each other to persevere through life and obstacles.
He chose to study within an arts degree after graduation, failed the course, and decided to move on to the next best thing he wanted to learn, chemistry. Unfortunately, he dropped out of the course after seeing that his family required his help from financial debt regarding his siblings. Ultimately, Finch worked the life of an average Joe trying to desperately keep himself from ending up on the streets.
During his crisis of wanting to find purpose, Blackwood (aged 24) had begun dating Odilia Bennet. After two years of fulfilment and recovering from his setbacks with his spouse, they had married and settled within Seattle, Washington. Managing to own a humble restaurant with his wife and raise a daughter, Amelia Bennet3.
Unfortunately, Odilia had developed lung cancer and pneumonia, which worsened due to them not being able to pay for treatment. Finch Blackwood would lose his lover within a span of a few months, attending her funeral at the age of 28.
He would sell the restaurant and left his house, moving to San Francisco and making a brand new start by working within a clerical job to pay for mortgage and leave the past behind in his hometown. Finch had entered the Foundation as a simple worker, though was granted an opportunity of working as an assistant for a researcher after noting his biography. Blackwood worked under Dr. Hippie for three years, making him 31 years old before he spent the rest of his time working diligently as an independent researcher within Site-42.
