Item #: SCP-9279

Object Class: Safe.

Special Containment Procedures: Due to SCP-9279's anomalous traits and remote location, only two female guards need to be posted by the fence surrounding SCP-9279's location. Any trespassers are to be detained and questioned before being given Class-A amnestics and released.

Description: SCP-9279 is a forest, presumed to be around 1,500 square meters in area, though so far attempts to reach the end have been unsuccessful, due to the nature of SCP-9279-1. SCP-9279 has a distinctive blue-green mist that is present in every exploration attempt, though it begins to disappear the longer a humanoid is inside of the forest. There is a lack of living organisms, with dead trees, as well as dying or dead plants being the only vegetation able to be found, though, much like the mist, it begins to change,

with luscious plants and flowers, as well as edible fruits and vegetables being found and consumed by D-class. SCP-9279 is described to have only a single trail to walk for around 50m before branching into three separate paths, with only the middle path not having been explored yet. The right path continues for around 60m, before leading to a waterfall, with clean and drinkable water present. If the water is consumed by a human, cells will begin to multiply at an increased rate, allowing any injury on the consumer to regenerate faster than normal, as well as appear around three years younger, though both effects will wear off when the water is out of the person's system. The water seems to be able to replenish itself, due to the fact of there not have been an instance of rainfall during any exploration attempts. The left path is recorded to be much longer than the right one, going for about 85m, before leading to a large and dim cave, which is presumed to be the habitat of SCP-9279-1. The layout of the cave changes from person to person, usually to a home or location that is important to the person. The contents of the house also remain consistent to the location the person remembers, however, in each exploration attempt, there have been a few items that have remained consistent throughout the exploration attempt that led into the cave. The items are the following: A large section with purple, acidic, water, which is usually the area where SCP-9279-1 is most commonly located, and a bowl of fresh, unidentifiable fruit that is believed to have similar effects to the water located on the right path, and a thick, orange-colored fog.

SCP-9279-1 is consistently a gray-skinned female entity, their facial features being yellow eyes, a Glasgow smile, and black hair. .SCP-9279-1 is presumed to have an ectomorph build, though the most notable feature of SCP-9279-1 is that their bones peak out at both of their shoulders. There is also visible damage to the rest of the entity's body, such as scars and bruises. SCP-9279-1's fingers are long and have sharp fingernails, presumably used for combat. SCP-9279's clothing is presumed limited to tank tops, jeans, and shorts, having not been sighted in any other clothing besides a select few outfits, usually ones that are familiar or close to personal in rare cases. SCP-9279-1 is measured to be at least one-hundred and sixty-eight centimeters tall while believed to be fifty-two kilograms.

When SCP-9279-1 begins vocalizing at 80hz or less, personnel who hear it even briefly will begin to experience a cognitohazard that attempts to lure them closer to SCP-9278-1 in order for SCP-9279-1 to kill them via unknown means, believed to be either blood loss inflicted by its sharp claws. SCP-9279-1's anomalous trait is able to be fought off relatively easily by most personnel when a subject is more than fifteen meters away, however, it progressively gets stronger as the subject moves closer and closer to the entity, until at least five meters away from SCP-9279-1, at which point only two percent of personnel were able to fight off SCP-9279-1s influence.

Addendum: Male staff are usually more susceptible to SCP-9279-1's effects.
